How long does a typical API integration take?
Most developers are up and running in our Sandbox environment within an hour. A full production integration including project syncing, automated payout triggers, and webhook listeners, typically takes between 2 to 5 days of development time, depending on the complexity of your internal logic.
What is the boundary between the API and the Gigapay Web App?
Think of the API as your admin control. You use it to programmatically create projects and trigger payout instructions from your own system.
The users are handled by Gigapay. When a creator needs to claim a payment, they are directed to the Gigapay web app where we handle the secure KYC/KYB onboarding, tax data collection, and identity vetting.
Does the API support batch processing?
Yes. You can programmatically trigger hundreds of payouts via the API in a single session. For teams not ready for full API automation, we also support manual batching via CSV upload in our dashboard.
How do we stay updated on creator onboarding or payment status?
We use a robust Webhook system. Instead of constantly polling our API for updates, you can subscribe to real-time events. Your system will be notified instantly the moment a creator completes onboarding, a payout is claimed, or a transaction is successfully processed.
Is the API secure enough for enterprise-grade financial data?
Absolutely. Gigapay is ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant. All API requests are performed over HTTPS, and authentication is handled via secure token-based HTTP headers.
Additionally, we provide separate API keys for our Demo and Production environments to ensure your testing never impacts live funds.
