How does the Merchant of Record model differ from a payment processor?
A payment processor moves money on your behalf, but you remain the legal counterparty to every creator. Gigapay legally purchases the creative service and resells it to you, so tax obligations sit with us, not your organization.
What happens to our existing creator vendor records in the ERP?
New creator payments flow through a single vendor record. Existing records can be archived gradually since Gigapay operates alongside your current processes during the rollout.
How long does the integration take?
Spreadsheet upload: same day. API integration: 2 to 5 days. No multi-month implementation, no data migration, no creator re-onboarding on your side.
Who handles creator onboarding and KYC?
Gigapay does. You provide a name, email, amount, and country. We handle KYC/KYB, tax ID validation, and onboarding directly with the creator. No registered business entity or VAT number required from creators.
What compliance and regulatory frameworks does Gigapay cover?
Gigapay handles applicable tax reporting to all available countries through KU14, automates DAC7 across the EU, and manages KSK in Germany. All cross-border VAT sits with Gigapay. ISO 27001 certified, GDPR compliant. Tax authorities contact us, not you.
